Intelect wins "Large Employer " award at the annual TVAP Meeting

Intelect were presented with an award for large employer of the year in recognition of our commitment to apprenteships and apprentices over the previous years. At Intelect we currently have over 25 apprentices.

The Tees Valley Apprenticeships Programme (TVAP) is a £1.8m fund designed to help sustain and expand employment related training in the Tees Valley, through the successful training of over 150 engineering Apprentices. It is just one of the work streams from the Tees Valley Industrial Programme (TVIP) designed to support the economy of the Tees Valley through a package of industrial support, enterprise, training and innovation mechanisms.

Additionally it will allow employers to provide work experience for those Apprentices receiving training allowances and facilitate the sponsorship of Apprenticeship completers to progress into higher education opportunities.

The Skills Academy will endeavour to ensure that the project demonstrates a long-term commitment from applicants to develop a solid framework for the process industry, ultimately helping to retain and support talented and skilled individuals which will have a positive impact on the North East economy.
